Kick the summer off with Jazz & Electronic (Thurs 1 May - Mon 5 May)
The City of Derry Jazz and Big Band Festival in May features artists from all over the world for an annual celebration of jazz and big bands. Around 70 venues play host to more than 200 live acts to packed audiences. The full programme will be unveiled early in 2025, offering an array of performances sure to get your feet tapping. It will be jam packed full of international and homegrown talent, bringing together a heady mix of Jazz, Blues, Soul and Rock. There is truly something to suit all ages and tastes.
North West 200 Race Week (Mon 5 - Sat 10 May)
Did you know that Northern Ireland is the home to a number of world class motorcycle racing events? The biggest of all, the NW 200, is in fact Ireland’s largest outdoor sporting event. 90 years since its introduction, this world-famous motorcycle road race has gone from strength to strength; producing decades worth of iconic Northern Ireland racing heritage. Cathedral Quarter Arts Festival (Thurs 1 - Sun 11 May)
One of NI's longest running and best-loved festivals is back featuring over 100 acts – big, small and everything in-between. With 11 days of live music, comedy, film, literature and visual art in dozens of venues across Belfast's historic cultural quarter and beyond. Join the festivities showcasing a wide range of artistic disciplines, including music, comedy, theatre, visual arts, and literature for the 25th year running. The inclusive programme features a blend of established artists and emerging talent.
The 153rd Open at Royal Portrush (Sun 13 - Sun 20 July)
