St Patrick's Day at Ulster Folk Museum (Tue 17 Mar)

Celebrate St Patrick’s Day at the Ulster Folk Museum with a day centred on history and local customs. Here you will find traditional music, Irish dancing, and quiet corners for storytelling. It is a chance to try your hand at heritage crafts, sample a bowl of colcannon, or even learn a few words of Irish. Whether you are watching horses at work in the fields or enjoying a drink at McCusker’s pub, it is a simple, authentic way to celebrate the occasion.

Easter Egg Hunt at Mount Stewart (Sat 28 Mar)

Explore the gardens of Mount Stewart this spring with a nature-themed activity trail for all ages. Running daily, participants receive a trail sheet, bunny ears, and a chocolate egg, with vegan and "free-from" options available for those with allergies. Please note that standard admission charges also apply.

Full Moon Paddle (Wed 1 April)

Discover a guided paddle across the calm waters of Strangford Lough as the sun sets. You can choose a kayak, canoe, or paddleboard to head out among the islands at twilight. You’ll be joined by a physicist to talk about the stars and share old stories of the moon before heading back to shore for hot chocolate and a few treats. 

Ards International Guitar Festival 2026 (Wed 15 - Sun 19 April)

The Ards International Guitar Festival returns, marking 30 years of live performances and free fringe events. The 2026 programme brings together a wide range of styles, including blues, folk, rock, and classical music. Key highlights this year include a tribute to John Martyn with Ken Haddock and Collie McClean, alongside sets from Pierre Bensusan and Andy McKee. More headline acts will be announced soon, with the full programme and tickets available from the 5th  of February!
