Whether you're into music, art, or just love a good show, there's always something happening. Every year the city comes to life with events like Belfast TradFest, Christmas Markets and the Cathedral Quarter Arts Festival. Belfast Children's Festival (Thur 5 - Sat 14 Mar)

The Belfast Children’s Festival brings 10 days of theatre, music, and art to the city, with a programme designed for all ages. Whether you’re visiting with family or just want to see a world-class performance, there is plenty to choose from. Hosted by Young at Art, the event features local Belfast talent alongside international guests. Everyone is welcome to explore the activities and the popular Festival Family Day Out.

Belfast St Patrick's Music Festival (Fri 13 Mar)

The Belfast St Patrick’s Music Festival returns to celebrate the city’s status as a UNESCO City of Music. The Cathedral Quarter and surrounding venues will host a mix of concerts, workshops, and dance, alongside a free Festival Village open to everyone. This year’s programme features a wide range of talent, including well-known voices like Dougie MacLean and Andy Irvine, as well as local harpers, pipe bands, and folk orchestras. The festival offers a welcoming atmosphere to experience traditional arts in the heart of Belfast.

St Patrick's Day Parade (Tue 17 Mar)

Belfast welcomes visitors to a wide range of St Patrick’s events throughout March. the city hosts Irish language sessions, music festivals, and family activities at St George’s Market. The main celebrations take place on 17 March, beginning with a morning 10k run followed by the city centre parade. Starting and finishing at City Hall, this free parade features local performers, music, and dance, offering a friendly day out for everyone.

Arts Across Belfast Bus Tour (Sun 29 Mar)

 Hop on this half-day bus tour, developed by Creative Tours Belfast, for an enjoyable trip exploring the city's lively arts and culture. With your friendly guide, you'll travel across Belfast north, south, east, and west, learning about the talented people connected to these streets. Discover arts centres, theatres, galleries, and music spots, see interesting street art, and hear local stories as you go. Starting from the Cathedral Quarter, the tour includes short stops at places like The Mac, Cultúrlann McAdam Ó Fiaich, The Seamus Heaney Centre at Queen’s and the EastSide Visitor Centre, where you'll have the opportunity to enjoy a live performance, and a light lunch.
