The last week of July usually sees Belfast go mad for trad. This year the traditional music festival is set to return with world-class concerts & fiery pub sessions. Ceilis, concerts, classes and impromptu craic at sessions are all part and parcel of the Belfast Trad Fest. Join music enthusiats, young and old, as they celebrate for the 7th year in Belfast, a UNESCO City of Music. Every year it gets bigger and when the sun is shining, there’s no better scene anywhere in the world.
Féile an Phobail is a vibrant community festival drawing global interest. Belfast will come alive with over 600 events across 50 venues, offering a diverse programme including concerts, debates, art exhibitions, the Féile 10k, comedy, dance, the Country Fest, and retro nights. Explore traditional music trails, workshops, theatre, West Belfast tours, and discussions, and mark the International Day of the World's Indigenous People with food, music, and dance. CHSq returns to the historic surroundings of Belfast's iconic Custom House for 2025, bringing a series of headline shows by international musical artists throughout August and September. This year's line-up includes Kingfishr, Wallows, Looking for Trouble, Ben Nicky, Stiff Little Fingers, Amble, Marti Pellow, The 30+ Club Festival and Billy Gillies. Something for all music tastes!
Another weekend to add into your diary is the Belfast International Tattoo. This year will feature a diverse lineup of bands, performers, and cultural groups from around the world, including the best of local Ulster-Scots talent. Held annually at the SSE Arena over two nights in September, join for a celebration of world-class talent, music, and tradition with over 600 performers from across the globe.
