For a day by the sea, the Giant's Causeway is the perfect place to stretch your legs while taking in the famous basalt rock formations and dramatic coastline. Nearby, Whiterocks Beach boasts wide sandy shores, views of Dunluce Castle and Portrush, and impressive sand dunes to explore. It's also a popular spot for horse riding. Murlough Beach provides a dramatic coastal walk with the Mourne Mountains as a backdrop, while the North Down Coastal Path, stretching from Holywood to Groomsport, offers beautiful views across Belfast Lough with plenty of places to stop along the way.
Northern Ireland is full of opportunities to experience the outdoors. Spend an evening stargazing at the OM Dark Sky Park and Observatory, home to some of the darkest skies on the island. At Gosford Forest Park, you may spot resident deer while exploring woodland trails, while Castle Espie is an excellent destination for birdwatching and wildlife.

Families looking to combine entertainment with learning can explore the interactive exhibits at W5, discover fascinating collections at the Ulster Museum and the Ulster Transport Museum, or get up close to marine life at Exploris Aquarium. You can also enjoy a visit to the Tayto Factory, where you'll learn how one of Northern Ireland's favourite snacks is made, making it a fun and memorable experience for all ages.

Northern Ireland also offers plenty of shopping destinations to enjoy. The Boulevard is a popular outlet, offering a wide selection of well-known brands, alongside a cinema and a variety of places to eat, making it an ideal choice for a fun family day out.
If you prefer the atmosphere of a city centre, Victoria Square in Belfast combines high street and designer stores with a fantastic selection of cafés, restaurants and an ODEON cinema. Further north, Derry~Londonderry is another excellent shopping destination. Foyleside Shopping Centre is home to many popular retailers, while the nearby Craft Village offers independent shops, locally made crafts and unique gifts in a charming setting.
