Everything you see as you make your way along the Causeway Coastal Route will etch itself into your memory. Discover 120 miles of Northern Ireland's coastal landscapes and lustrous scenery. The route cuts through a rich tapestry of stunning bays and harbours, luscious green glens, rolling hills, rivers, and lakes. But beyond the splendour of the scenery are the incredible people you'll meet and their celebrations in song and dance, in food and the fairs and festivals that bring them together every year. Some highlights include...
Discover The Carnlough Whiskey Festival, featuring a week of tastings, live music, and coastal activities. Hosted across the village and at Ireland's First Whiskey Hotel, the festival brings together independent distilleries and well-known brands such as Bushmills, Dunville’s, Shortcross, and Dingle. Guests can attend guided tasting sessions, join cocktail nights, meet brand ambassadors, and take part in boat trips along the Antrim Coast. With live music scheduled throughout the week, it offers a practical way to sample regional spirits while exploring the area.
The Ould Lammas Fair returns to Ballycastle. As Ireland's oldest fair, the event fills the town streets with hundreds of stalls offering trading, bargaining, and live entertainment. Visitors can experience the traditional horse‑trading village, sample local favourites like Yellow Man and dulse, or browse handmade crafts and fresh produce at the Naturally North Coast and Glens Artisan Market.
Discover the best of local produce, unique crafts, and fine art at the Roe Valley Speciality Market. This small, friendly outdoor market is conveniently located next to the towns main shopping area. Browse a wonderful range of beautiful, locally made foods and speciality products, meet the welcoming local traders, and enjoy the lively atmosphere. Entry is free, and dogs on a lead are welcome to join you as you explore.
The Bushmills Salmon & Whiskey Festival returns this autumn to celebrate the food, drink, and heritage of the area. Visitors can look forward to a full weekend of activities, including food and drink samplings, cookery demonstrations by local and celebrity chefs, and hosted foodie experiences. Across the village, the line-up features live music, street entertainment, a craft market, workshops, and plenty of family-friendly fun.
