Everything you see as you make your way along the Causeway Coastal Route will etch itself into your memory. Discover 120 miles of Northern Ireland's coastal landscapes and lustrous scenery. The route cuts through a rich tapestry of stunning bays and harbours, luscious green glens, rolling hills, rivers, and lakes. But beyond the splendour of the scenery are the incredible people you'll meet and their celebrations in song and dance, in food and the fairs and festivals that bring them together every year. Some highlights include...
The first Magheramorne Literary Festival takes place at Magheramorne Estate in March 2026. This weekend brings together well-known writers, journalists, and historians from across the UK and Ireland. The programme features a series of talks with guests including Nicola Sturgeon, Miriam O’Callaghan, and crime novelists Adrian McKinty and Jo Spain. Visitors can enjoy food from Kitchen pop-up café and even have the option to book an overnight stay to explore the house and grounds at a slower pace.
Visit Glenarm Castle for the annual Tulip Festival. Held over the May Bank Holiday weekend, the event features thousands of tulips in bloom throughout the walled garden. Alongside the displays, you can enjoy live music, local food, and various craft stalls. With carnival rides and a mini Land Rover course for children, it is a practical choice for a family day out or a quiet walk in the grounds.
Discover the Northwest 200, a major event in the international motorcycle road racing calendar. The 8.9-mile circuit links the towns of Portrush, Portstewart, and Coleraine, turning the same roads locals use for work into a track where riders reach speeds of over 200mph. Visitors can choose to watch from one of the grandstand seats or find a spot along the circuit for free. With a festival featuring music, food, and fireworks alongside the racing, it is a busy and popular time to visit this part of Northern Ireland.
