Produced in collaboration with The Music Yard, Celtic Heart is a locally made production that explores Belfast’s history through music and storytelling. Set in the industrial era of the early 1900s, the show follows a father’s reflections on family, tradition, and a forbidden romance. This performance brings together spoken word by storyteller Colin Urwin, live traditional music, and Irish dance to create a clear picture of working-class life. It is an honest look at the city’s heritage, combining folklore and humour with the energy of a live folk session. Get you tickets now to experience this unique story!
Visit W5 for the Space Explorer Academy! This family-focused event allows young visitors to take part in a training mission, where they can complete hands-on tasks and learn about life in space. The experience is included with general admission and covers everything from the initial countdown to making discoveries about the universe. You can pre-book your visit to join the mission!
Visit the Ulster Museum after hours for an adults-only evening event. This "Fashionably Late" session features music from a DJ, alongside various bars, food, and dance performances throughout the galleries. You can browse a vintage clothes market and take part in art workshops! With 360-degree photo booths and a bespoke tote bag printing station, the evening offers a chance to explore the museum’s displays in a relaxed, creative setting after work!
The Cultra Hillclimb returns for a day of motorsport and displays at Cultra Manor. The event features a mix of vintage, classic, and modern cars, including rare models from the museum’s private stores. Visitors can watch hillclimb races, with timed competitive runs. Alongside the racing, there is plenty for families to enjoy, including live music, face painting, and various food stalls and picnic areas.
Belfast Pride returns, marking the 35th anniversary of the city’s largest LGBTQIA+ festival. The centrepiece of the week is the Pride Parade, which sees community groups, businesses, and allies join together for a walk through the city centre. Visitors can also spend time at the Pride Village, an alcohol-free space with stalls and family entertainment, or attend the main stage performances at Custom House Square. With events and after-parties held across Belfast, the festival remains one of the city's most significant annual celebrations.
