The Royal Hillsborough Farmers Market returns to the village on the last Saturday of May, June, and July. Set along the Dark Walk and the grounds of the Fort, the market features stalls from local farmers and makers. Visitors can browse a wide range of seasonal produce, including fresh meats, breads, and cheeses, alongside local crafts, and plants. With live music, children’s activities, and plenty of street food, it is an ideal spot to meet up and explore the independent shops in the area!
Join the McKeever family for a hands-on tour expereince. Walk through the trees to see the spring blossom or the autumn harvest before visiting the pressing room and cold storage to see how the fruit is processed. After learning how their cider and apple cider vinegar are made, you can relax in the Bramley Barn with a slice of apple tart and a hot drink. The Moira Speciality Food Fair returns this summer, bringing together local farmers and artisan producers from across Northern Ireland. The Eats & Beats festival returns to Newcastle this September, bringing together local food and live music in the heart of the Mourne Gullion Strangford Geopark.
