Ards International Guitar Festival 2026 (Wed 15 - Sun 19 April)

The Ards International Guitar Festival returns, marking 30 years of live performances and free fringe events. The 2026 programme brings together a wide range of styles, including blues, folk, rock, and classical music. Key highlights this year include a tribute to John Martyn with Ken Haddock and Collie McClean, alongside sets from Pierre Bensusan and Andy McKee. More headline acts will be announced soon, with the full programme and tickets available from the 5th  of February! 

Full Moon Paddle (Fri 1 May)

Experience Strangford Lough under the enchanting glow of a full moon. Full Moon Paddle offers a peaceful journey by kayak, SUP, or canoe. As twilight fades, you'll join an instructor-led group to navigate the calm waters and explore the islands. With a clear sky, you can expect a wonderful display of stars and a close-up view of the moon. During a break, a physicist will share interesting facts and stories about the moon before heading back to shore for some warm hot chocolate and treats.

Balmoral Show (Wed 13 - Sat 16 May)

Save the date for the 157th Balmoral Show. As Northern Ireland’s main event for food and farming, it features livestock competitions, show-jumping, and live displays. Visitors can browse hundreds of stalls, taste local food, and enjoy family entertainment throughout the grounds. Whether you want to see the animals or learn about where your food comes from, there is plenty to do across the four days.

Fiddler's Green International Festival (Wed 15 - Sun 19 July)
