The Byre is a the third of a number of holiday properties as part of a renovation of an 18th Century corn and flax mill. The Byre is part of the original corn mill and has been repurposed into a beautiful ground floor cottages with access to the garden, terrace area and outdoor kitchen area.
The property is built to a high modern specification and situated in a quiet riverside location. The living dining area opens to a level access garden with paths suitable for a wheelchair user. The Kilkeel River runs alongside the property and the area is situated in its own native woodland with riverside flora and fauna in abundance.
Kilkeel is a mile away with shops and local services easily accessed. Kilkeel is a busy coastal town and is home to one of the largest fishing fleets in Ireland. The iconic Mourne Mountains are within easy access and provide walks for experienced and leisure walkers. Mountain biking and cyclists are spoiled with routes and trails throughout the area. 10 minutes from the Carlingford ferry whihc provides the opportunity to visit the Cooley Pennisula and Ireland's Ancient East. There is an abundance of places to explore, people to met or enjoy your surroundings.
