PILOT! Lecture with Shaun Leane

Ulster Museum, Stranmillis Road, Botanic Gardens, Belfast, County Antrim, BT9 5AB
Come along to PILOT's launch lecture with renowned jeweller and designer, Shaun Leane at Ulster Museum

About

Join renowned jeweller and designer, Shaun Leane for PILOT's launch lecture at the Ulster Museum on Thursday 24th October.

This free talk at the Ulster Museum is a rare opportunity to hear directly from one of the most influential figures in contemporary jewellery design. Shaun Leane was the lead judge on the hit show All That Glitters, but his creative career spans decades. After completing an intensive seven-year training as a goldsmith in Hatton Garden, Shaun went on to forge his own path as a trailblazing design-led jeweller. Leane's ground-breaking collaborations with iconic fashion houses, including Alexander McQueen and Givenchy, have redefined the boundaries of jewellery design. With so many facets to his career, this talk will explore a range of topics—from designing with vision and the art of collaboration, to navigating the jewellery business.

PILOT! at Ulster University's Faculty of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences is dedicated to advancing the role of craft, design, and making within a dynamic, inclusive academic framework. PILOT aims to inform, inspire, and encourage collaboration between makers, designers, students, and academics through lectures and workshops taking place in shared creative spaces.

Whether you're a jeweller, a designer, or simply someone with a passion for creativity, you won't want to miss this inspiring event!
