Dart Mountain Cheese Experience

About

An informal educational tour & taste experience of Derry’s award-winning artisan cheese producer. You will begin on a scenic trip to the small village of Park, in the Sperrin Mountains where you will greeted at Dart Mountain Cheese by Kevin and meet the cheesemaker Julie Hickey, and hear the story of the cheeses inspired by the Sperrin mountain landscape.

This is a 2-hour interactive tour touching on some of the science involved in cheese making, and also the chance to enjoy a tasting of handmade cow and goat cheeses & chutneys.  Our tour allows you to meet the producer, learn about the craft of cheese making, and visit our cheese maturing rooms, finishing in our brand new visitor centre where you will be invited to pull up a chair for tea or coffee and a tasting of all our wonderful products.
