Awaken your Giant Spirit

  1. Guests interact with exhibitions at the Derry Girls Exhibition
Visit the home of Derry Girls and discover where it all began! See original memorabilia from the hit show, like Erin’s diary, Aunt Sarah’s famous pyjamas and Ma Mary’s Woolworths sweater, not to mention the infamous Spice Girls costumes!

  2. Mural of the main cast from TV's Derry Girls on the side of Badgers Bar in Derry/Londonderry. From left to right - James, Michelle, Erin, Orla, Claire. Michelle is giving a peace sign.

Ye haven’t seen Derry Girls yet? Ah, catch yerself on!

If you haven’t seen Derry Girls, you’re in for a treat. The Lisa McGee-penned comedy following the hilarious exploits of a group of teenagers, their families and friends - oh, and their school principal, Sister Michael - in the early 1990s is a joy to behold.

  3. Experiences, Activities & Attractions
Northern Ireland has it’s very own Hollywood. We’re not just talking about the pretty seaside village on the northern coast of Co Down here, we’re talking about a track record in film and TV productions that stretches right across each and every one of our six counties. Which means that everywhere you go here, there’s a TV or film location, activity, tour, experience or source of creative inspiration to be found.
  4. Game of Thrones®
For ten years, HBO and Game of Thrones® made Northern Ireland their home. We’re rightly proud of that. And we’re confident enough to say that our people, our raw, atmospheric heritage and stunning locations became part of the show’s soul.
  5. The ruins of Dunluce Castle perched on the side of a cliff. Beyond the ruins the sea and clear blue skies are visible

Northern Ireland’s breathtaking beauty is the real star of the show.  Here are some locations that steal the scenes in iconic film and TV productions.

  6. Scene from Dungeons and Dragons showing characters escaping from Neverwinter Harbour

The dramatic and varied landscapes of Northern Ireland provided the spectacular backdrops for Dungeons and Dragons: Honour Amongst Thieves and many other screen productions, meaning many of the film locations are easily accessible from Belfast.

  1. A sneak peek of some of the amazing exhibitions inside Linen Mills Studios

Thrones mania is set to erupt all over again this year with the premiere of House of the Dragon, the prequel drama depicting the Targaryen dynasty’s rise and conquest of the Seven Kingdoms of Westeros. So it’s a perfect time to reacquaint ourselves with that world, on a visit to Northern Ireland’s newest state-of-the-art visitor attraction...

  2. Belfast city skyline with office blocks lit up at night

BBC drama Line of Duty keeps pulses racing with action packed car chases, nail biting cliff-hangers and, of course, Ted Hastings' infamous one liners. Not only can we claim Ted Hastings as a National Treasure, but we can say that most of the filming takes place in and around Belfast.

  3. Influencer Nadia_dailyself enjoying a hike in the Mourne Mountains

As winter was coming the timing was perfect for Nadia El Ferdaoussi (@Nadia_dailyself) to visit Northern Ireland, the home of Game of Thrones®, for a trip which took in the Mourne Mountains, Newcastle, Banbridge and Belfast city.

  4. Adam King outside the Armagh Observatory and Planetarium

Inspirational schoolboy Adam King, who captured the hearts of TV viewers in the Republic of Ireland when he appeared on The Late Late Toy Show last year, has been exploring the Giant Spirit that Northern Ireland has to offer.
