Ah, Spa Hotels. Even the sound of them helps you relax just a little. So, imagine how you’ll feel when you actually spend time in one of the many fabulous ones here in Northern Ireland. And, of course, experience all the mouth-watering food, spectacular walks - and more - that goes with them. Here’s a list of Spa hotels that you might want to check out. Or rather check in, for a spa break in Northern Ireland.

Killeavy Castle Estate (4*)

Culloden Hotel and Spa (5*)

Overlooking Belfast Lough in County Down, the magnificent Hastings Culloden Estate & Spa (5*) used to be a Bishop’s Palace. So it knows a bit about stately elegance. Super-luxurious bedrooms and a beautifully appointed Spa area – with swimming pool and fantastic luxury treatments - make it a perfect retreat for couples in search of pamper time. Just a short drive from Belfast city, it’s surrounded by 12 acres of gardens and woodlands, so outdoors is as relaxing as indoors.

Galgorm Spa & Golf Resort (4*)

Step inside County Antrim’s Galgorm Spa and Golf Resort and you’ll know immediately why it was awarded Global Luxury Spa of the Year at the World Luxury Hotel Awards, 2018.

Stresses fade as the aromas of lavender and sandalwood waft through every luxurious inch of the Resort. While outside the River Maine meanders through the 163-acre estate and the unique Thermal Village. That’s what makes this experience truly one of a kind with its outdoor hot tubs, saunas and steam rooms - and, of course, Voya treatments and two swimming pools. There’s never been a more relaxing way to press pause.

Lough Erne Resort (5*)

Fermanagh’s Lough Erne Resort (5*) has all the ingredients for a totally de-stressing break. Two championship golf courses – The Faldo Course and Castle Hume Course. A wonderful Thai Spa to iron out any tension after a hard day’s play. And the exceptional Catalina restaurant with its ability to transform seasonal local produce into show-stopping classic and contemporary dishes. And then, of course, there are the breath-taking lakeside views. No wonder nobody ever wants to leave.

Slieve Donard Resort and Spa (4*)

The wonderful Slieve Donard Resort & Spa (4*) sits prettily between golden beaches on one side and Royal County Down Golf Links on the other. Inside, exquisite cloud beds make every night a dream. So you’re totally rested, even before you hit the award-winning Spa – one of Europe’s finest.

With the very best in relaxing treatments and an infinity pool with panoramic views over the stunning County Down countryside, this is a break you’ll wish could go on for ever and ever.
