A new era, inspired by the past. Here serving our community since 1834 ( 190 years ) A beloved destination for families, golfers, and holiday travellers.  Our Guest rooms are situated above our award winning Pub - The Dundrum Inn Est.1834 is on the Main Street.

Youll be looked after by Sarah & Phil Patterson and the team of award winning hosts, who run and own the pub below The Dundrum Inn 1834, Co. Down Pub of the year

We have a partial view of the sea the accommodation its own private entrance ( you do not have to enter the pub ) , Four boutique bedrooms ( 1 x double, 2 x twin or Superking & 1 family suite (patterson room ) with king & sofa bed.  In room tea / coffee and home cooked Taste of Ulster cooked breakfast provided in the restaurant below. The en-suite shower rooms are fitted with generous walk in shower.

Parking is on street outside, covered by our CCTV, access to the beach is just across the road outside 1min walk.
Check-in after 15:00 / Check-out before 11:00 please.

The space is ABOVE A PUB ( There may be noise at busy periods ) 

Guests are welcome to use the facilities of the public house, restaurant  and beer garden. Your beloved dog is not allowed in the room but is very welcome at pub. 

Dundrum has many great walks, as well as a Norman Castle, world famous Murlough Nature Reserve, and we are a 10 minute drive to the Mourne Mountains, Tollymore Forest Park, Royal County Down Golf course in Newcastle.A must do is visit Dundrum Castle, a very steep walk up but worth it for the spectacular views

Castlewellan town is close by and is famous for its forest, maze and lakes.

The Village has 2 local convenience shops Bernies & Brennans you will find most essentials available. Newcastle town has 2 Supermarkets Lidl & Tesco if more substantial shopping is requiered. 

Dundrum has a choice of dinning including (us) Dundrum Inn, Award winning Mourne Seafood Bar, squid shack and Buck's Head fine dining restaurant for the special occasions.
Dont forget our Taste of Ulster excellent cooked breakfasts.  Further away is the Maghera inn ( taxi ride - famous for pub lunches ) then 3 miles away into Newcastle our largest local town with lots of restaurants to explore.

We can arrange bespoke golf tee times & trips ( additional costs ) to all the local courses, Royal Co Down, Ardglass, Kilkeel, Downpatrick, driver / host available to help you during your stay.

We have great walking / hiking trails and routes on our doorstep. Suitable for all fitness levels, come and explore where mother nature had her best day.

County Down is where, in the words of the song by Percy French, "The mountains of Mourne sweep down to the sea", and the area around the granite Mourne Mountains continues to be known for its scenery. Slieve Donard, at 849 m (2,785 ft), is the highest peak in the Mournes, in Northern Ireland and in the province of Ulster. Another important peak is Slieve Croob, at 534 m (1,752 ft), the source of the River Lagan.
