About

We are a family run farm park based just outside Newcastle, County Down, established in 2017, we have been providing families with unforgettable experiences and lasting memories for over 5 years now.

We have something for everyone, with animals from all over the globe ranging from cute and cuddly Guinea Pigs to scaly Snakes and Lizards, Lemurs and Llamas! Not to mention Marmoset Monkeys, Parrots, Wallabies and Meerkats! (The list goes on!)

We also have plenty of activities on offer that will guarantee hours of fun for all!

We also have an exclusive Deer Safari Experience, the slots for this are limited and booked on arrival at an additional cost. This is a tour of the deer field, getting up close and personal, allowing photo opportunities and even feeding the deer!

Our cafe on-site offers tasty hot food, ice-cream, tray-bakes, teas and coffees and is perfect for when you need to take a rest in between activities. (Picnics are also welcome!)

Road Directions

We are based on the main road between Clough and Dundrum. Coming down the hill out of Clough, you will see the Deer field at the right hand side of the road, with a large Mountpanther Farm Park sign inside the field. The entrance to the park is slightly further on down.

Public Transport Directions

From Belfast (45 minutes)

Take the A24, travelling south to Ballynahinch. Stay on the A24 through Carryduff, following signs for Ballynahinch and Newcastle. Go straight across the roundabout at the Temple. Follow the one way system through Ballynahinch and on toward Newcastle. The A24 continues through Seaforde to another roundabout at Clough. Go straight across the roundabout and Mountpanther is approximately 3 minutes away, on your right.

There are also regular buses that leave from Europa Bus Station in Belfast to Newcastle, there is a bus stop just outside Mountpanther, you will see the deer field to your right as you come out of Clough, with the Mountpanther sign inside it, this is where the bus will stop. It is then just a 5 minute walk up the lane towards the park.

From Newcastle (11 minutes)

Follow the Dundrum Road/A2 out of Newcastle, travelling north. After Dundrum, Mountpanther is approximately 3 minutes away, on your left.

From Newry (42 minutes)

Take the B8 to Castlewellan, passing through Mayobridge, where you turn right at the roundabout, following signs for Castlewellan and Newcastle. Go straight through Hilltown to the A25. Turn right onto the A25 and through Kilcoo, staying on the A25. Go straight across the roundabout in Castlewellan and through the town to Clough. At the T-junction in Clough, turn right towards Dundrum and Newcastle. Mountpanther is approximately 3 minutes away, on your right.

From Downpatrick (13 minutes)

Follow the Ballydugan Road/A25 to Clough. At the roundabout in Clough, take the first exit to Dundrum and Newcastle. Mountpanther is approximately 3 minutes away, on your right.

You can also take the bus from Downpatrick bus station towards Newcastle. There is a bus stop just outside Mountpanther, you will see the deer field to your right as you come out of Clough, with the Mountpanther sign inside it, this is where the bus will stop. It is then just a 5 minute walk up the lane towards the park.
