About

Greenhill YMCA is an outdoor education and residential centre set in a beautiful 17 acre site on the slopes of Slieve Donard with views over the town of Newcastle and in particular Dundrum Bay. Our site is unique with the Mountains behind and the Sea in front, with views that have to be seen to be believed. We have many groups who come to us just for the relaxation and tranquillity that Greenhill offers.
We have a long established tradition in designing and delivering programmes for schools, colleges, youth groups, cross community groups, and church groups and have been established at Greenhill for over 100 years. We are totally dedicated to providing quality leadership and programmes to assist people of all ages in their physical, social, mental and spiritual development. All our instructors are highly trained and come from a community of people from different backgrounds, cultures and creeds.
Greenhill is a cross denominational Christian organisation that offers activities which are both fun and challenging whilst helping to develop the individual in terms of self-esteem, co-operation with others and responsibility. We encourage and facilitate the character building elements of both overcoming a personal challenge and working as part of a team. Activities take place either in our extensive grounds or the surrounding area: i.e.The Mourne Mountains, Castlewellan Forest Park and Lake and Tollymore Forest Park.
We offer a wide and varied range of activity and non activity packages ranging from Day Activity sessions through to Weekend packages and Weekly, or longer, Residentials. Minimum group size is 8 and rates are available on request.

ADVENTUREMARK
Greenhill has been awarded the Adventure Activity Associations 'ADVENTUREMARK' which is awarded only to those Activity Centres that have been inspected and proven to have met the necessary standards for the safe delivery of Adventure Activities as defined by the Adventure Activities Industry Advisory Committee.
