About

Sestina Music's Season Launch takes place this Autumn, with Lux et Umbra. Exploring various settings of the Leçons de Ténèbres by Charpentier, we will bring rarely-heard music to audiences in Northern Ireland.

As the days grow shorter and we embrace the darkness of night, the title of this programme aligns with the natural transition of the year. We aim to cultivate a sense of meditative stillness, inviting our audiences to immerse themselves in the depths of this music which illuminates the path toward inner reflection.

Featuring

Sarah Keating (soprano) | Áine Smith (soprano) | Laoise O'Brien (recorders) | Elisabeth Vogel (recorders) | Sarah Groser (viols) | Tristan Russcher (keyboards) | Mark Chambers (musical director)
