Heritage Day at Clifton House, Belfast

Clifton House, 2 North Queen Street, Belfast, County Antrim, BT15 1ES
Heritage Skills Day at Clifton House

About

Come and celebrate the 250th anniversary of Clifton House on Sunday 1st September with a celebration of our history, traditional heritage skills, local crafts, live music, food, and a chance to share your memories of north Belfast through our history harvest, part of the Great Place North Belfast project.

This fantastic free community event set inside, and around the grounds of, Clifton House, the former Poorhouse of Belfast, will run from 12noon to 5pm. You will see heritage skills demonstrations and have a chance to try them out for yourself; take part in traditional craft activities and games, browse the craft fair, listen to some fabulous local music, share your stories, memories and artefacts of north Belfast in our history harvest; and learn about our 250 year long history facilitated by our fabulous volunteers through short tours of this magnificent Georgian building.

Situated in the heart of Belfast, we would encourage visitors to come by public transport. Why not bring a picnic blanket, and soak up the atmosphere on our front lawn while enjoying some of the local food available from the food traders on the day.

And don't forget to share your experience of the day using #clifton250.
