Wild Strands is a wild food and maritime adventure company that aims to deliver creative and wild maritime food tourism experiences by promoting the uses of an Irish heritage food, seaweed, by creating sustainable, responsible bespoke food tours, talks, cooking demonstrations, and events.

Wild Strands delivers slow adventure packages, and is part of the exciting new tourism product Slow Adventure NI, enabling clients to have a creative and immersive real flavour and taste of the north west’s food culture in areas of outstanding wild and natural beauty. Open all year the dynamic creative team of Wildstrands can offer combinations of experiences with professional experts in their fields, food heritage, art, architecture, photography, mindfulness incl Tai chi, genealogy, aikido and traditional music.

The team can develop packages and guided tours to suit your requirements and can be delivered by the local team of experts in a range of languages Irish, Italian, Catalan, French, Spanish, German and Dutch. The qualified team, led by William Mc Elhinney, AKA The Seaweed Man, will bring you on a culinary journey, topographical tours , to explore and experience the food traditions, folklore and heritage in the local sea and landscapes.
