About

Seacourt Print Workshop was founded in 1981 by Margaret Arthur and Jean Duncan. They wanted to be able to practise printmaking close to home and starting small, they established a print workshop. To help pay for overheads and purchase equipment they delivered courses to local people, then schools and the membership started to grow.

Seacourt has never been afraid to change and develop and 40 years later we have 80 members, we cater for almost every print technique and have a reputation as an inclusive, welcoming print family.

We are an open access printmaking studio with fantastic resources, courses, workshops. Our printmaking family includes master printmakers, multidisciplinary artists, amateurs and those who print to improve their wellbeing.

We are strong believers in the magic of print and how it can transform lives. Our annual programme includes an eclectic diary of exhibitions, a concise offering of courses and workshops, artist talks and many drop-in, family friendly free events. We sell work on behalf of our artist members, which can be purchased directly from our gallery space in the workshop.

Seacourt Print Workshop is based in the seaside city of Bangor, Co.Down and has recently found a new, and hopefully forever, home in the Old Ulster Bank on the Main Street.
