About

Tours of Clifton House currently suspended until the end of May 2020.

This one and half hour self-guided walking tour takes in nine historically significant buildings in the city, some of which are still fully operational today.
Start your tour on the steps of St Anne’s Cathedral (1) (suggested time Fridays @ 13:30).

From there, it is a short walk to Redeemer Central (2) on Donegall Street, then St Patricks School (3), and also St Patrick’s Church & Parochial House (4).

Cross Carrick Hill onto Clifton Street, and on the left you will see Belfast Orange Hall (7), the Indian Community Centre (8), and Carlisle Memorial Church (9).

Across the road, you will find Clifton Street Graveyard (10). Finally, coming back down Clifton Street towards Carrick Hill, on the left you will find the entrance to Clifton House (6), just off North Queen Street, Belfast's original Poor House. We suggest you finish your walking tour here with a guided tour of the house and graveyard*, £9.50pp (Every Friday @ 15:00)
