About

Create life-long memories and discover hidden gems along the coast as you cruise from Carrickfergus Castle to the Gobbins. This bespoke boat tour immerses you in stunning coastal scenery, history and nature, for a truly authentic Northern Irish experience.

Your adventure begins at Carrickfergus Marina, situated beside an imposing Norman castle, built in 1177 by John de Courcy. Carrickfergus Castle is a particularly impressive sight from the sea offering a chance for some beautiful photography.

After passing Cloghan jetty, we stop to view Whitehead, an idyllic Victorian seaside village. It is best viewed and photographed from the sea due to it’s colourful array of houses facing seawards. History enthusiasts will love seeing the picturesque Blackhead Lighthouse. Constructed in 1901 during the glory days of Belfast’s shipping, this lighthouse guided all ships in and out of Belfast Lough, including the ill-fated Titanic.

Truly a spectacular sight, the Gobbins is renowned for its Victorian Cliff Path Walk. Including tunnels and suspension bridges which were recently rebuilt, it is an engineering spectacle. Because we are not restricted by how far we can go, we get a full view of all the caves, the bridges and beyond the current walk-way.

Declared an Area of Special Scientific Interest due to the colonies of breeding seabirds, unusual geological features and wide range of marine plant life, the Gobbins is one of Northern Ireland’s best kept secrets. It is also home to Northern Ireland’s only mainland colony of Puffins. Guillemots, Razorbills, Cormorants, Kittiwakes and Shags have also made this amazing location their home. We regularly see an abundance of Lions Mane jellyfish here during the summer and curious seals are always ready to peep out of the water to say hello.

Enjoyment and safety are our priority. Our boats are fully Coded and kitted out with your comfort and safety in mind. Our Skipper Tim Griffin is fully qualified and experienced.
