The state of the art clubhouse provides spacious facilities on two floors which includes separate wet and dry changing rooms for male, female and juniors. Visiting boats to Donaghadee Harbour can arrange in advance to access the Visitor shower/changing room for a small charge.The clubhouse has 3 meeting/training rooms available for hire for training events, meetings and seminars which can be booked via email office@donaghadeesc.co.uk
As a voluntary sports club it welcomes membership applications (fulltime, temporary and social).
The sailing club is a recognised RYA Training Centre and provides training courses in sailing and powerboating for both Adults and Juniors. These courses are open to non-members and generally happen from from April to September.
The juniors mainly focus on dinghy sailing in Toppers/Lazers and GP14’s. Up to 15 Keel boats moor in the harbour and cruising members take advantage of the nearby Copelands Marina.
The Club was runner up in the 'RYA Club of the Year' which is open to Clubs throughout the UK – it is the first time a club from NI has been recognised in this prestigious award.
Club Sport Mark (Sport NI Award). We are very proud to have been the first sailing club in NI to achieve this in recognition of facilities and sailing programmes provided.
Any Juniors interested in Having–A–Go please come along to our Friday nights at the slipway opposite the Clubhouse from 18:30 (May – August).
