Named Best Restaurant in County Londonderry for the eighth consecutive year in 2017, the twice named Best Restaurant in Ulster has also been awarded Best Food Tourism Experience 2017 by Tourism Northern Ireland.

Ian is one of Northern Ireland's best known chefs and was instrumental in developing Tourism Northern Ireland's new signature dish for 2017. He frequently appears on local and national television showcasing his culinary skills. He won Best Chef in Northern Ireland seven times.

Committed to local produce and supporting local suppliers, Browns Bonds Hill and its sister restaurant Browns In Town are the only restaurants in the city recommended in the Michelin Guide. Named as one of the Top 101 Great Irish Restaurants by Business Post in 2017, Browns Bonds Hill has also been named in the Sunday Times Ireland Top 100 Irish Restaurants in 2017.
