Afternoon: Roe Valley Country Park, Limavady

After lunch, take a short drive to Roe Valley Country Park. This park offers a mix of woodland paths, riverside trails and open green space. The walking routes here are well maintained and suitable for dogs on leads, with plenty of spots to stop and enjoy the surroundings.
Along the way, visitors can see remnants of the area’s linen industry, including old mill buildings and water features that give an insight into the valley’s heritage. The park is a good place to stretch your legs after travelling and gives dogs plenty of space to explore.

Guests are asked to bring their own dog bed and food, and if dining in the hotel, dogs must remain in the room and be kept in a crate supplied by the owner. Dinner: The Point Bar, Magilligan

For dinner, head towards the coast to The Point Bar at Magilligan, open from 12pm - 9pm. This welcoming spot is hugely popular with both locals and visitors, serving a menu centred on fresh, straightforward dishes, including seafood when available. Dogs are welcome inside, making it a convenient option for those travelling with pets. The bar’s coastal setting allows you to enjoy your meal while taking in views of Benone Beach and the Donegal coastline across the lough.
After dinner, you may wish to take a short walk along Benone Beach. This long stretch of coastline provides plenty of open space for dogs and offers wide views across Lough Foyle. It’s a peaceful spot for an evening stroll, particularly as the day begins to wind down.
Evening: O’Cahans Bar, Roe Valley Resort

Morning: Breakfast & Exploring Derry~Londonderry

Start Sunday with breakfast at Roe Valley Resort before travelling the short distance into the city.
Start with a walk across the Peace Bridge, a popular pedestrian crossing connecting both sides of the River Foyle. Frequently used by locals and visitors, it provides an easy route to and from the city’s main attractions and offers views along the river.
From here, continue to explore the historic City Walls. The full circuit looks out across the city and allows visitors to take in well-known landmarks, including St Columb’s Cathedral and the Guildhall.
Fans will instantly recognise the iconic Derry Girls mural, which celebrates the hit series filmed in the city. It’s a popular photo stop and adds a bit of light-hearted local culture to your visit.
Dogs are welcome throughout much of the outdoor city space, making it easy to explore at your own pace.
Brunch: The Scullery Café, Derry~Londonderry

Before heading home, stop at The Scullery for brunch. Open from 8am - 3pm on Sundays, this café is well known locally for its simple, well-prepared menu and relaxed setting. It’s a good place to enjoy coffee, breakfast dishes or lighter brunch options before starting your journey back while treats and water bowls are readily available for your furry companion.
