From melodic waves lapping against the basalt columns of the Giant’s Causeway to the first pour of cider after an Orchard County harvest and the vibrancy of Derry Halloween to the bustle of St George’s Market, the timeless whispers of our landscapes have been woven together for an immersive audio experience.
Lending her voice to the production is Belfast-born award winning audiobook narrator, Alana Kerr Collins, who founded the Belfast Actors’ Studio and has recorded over 100 audiobooks for major publishers.
Featuring the work of Tessa Ann Greer, founder of The Sound Healing Spa, a Sound Artist and Embrace a Giant Spirit Tourism Experience Provider. Recognised with a Gold Level Tourism Innovation Award for her pioneering sound-based tourism experiences, Tessa Ann’s work helped inspire the concept for Giant Awakening. Her original instrumental sounds and singing voice feature throughout the Giant Awakening piece, bringing the essence of her immersive sound-based experiences to the project.
Produced alongside Belfast-based Redcap Productions and Felbryn Studios, the audio production house with a sound first approach and focuses on capturing detailed voiceover, foley and sound effects to help bring stories to life.
There is evidence that ASMR, Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response, content can promote relaxation, in some cases lowering the user’s heart rate and stress levels whilst aiding a better night’s sleep.
