About

Hillside Self Catering offers a tranquil location for exploring the Mourne Area of Outstanding Beauty but also within easy access to Belfast or Dublin.

Our closest town, Rathfriland is just over 5 minutes away.  The quaint town of Rathfriland has a large grocery store which has a very popular deli counter and loft 56 restaurant upstairs.

Twenty five minutes drive takes you to the seaside town of Newcastle which also has a variety of cafes and restaurants to choose from.  Just outside Newcastle is the Murlough National Nature Reserve which has a board walk and beautiful sandy beach.

Hillside Self Catering is a 20 minute drive to Castlewellan.  Castlewellan Forest Park is a must-visit for mountain bikers of all ages and abilites.  The lake is one of the main attractions where you can enjoy angling or perhaps some paddle boarding or kayaking (equipment available for hire at Castlewellan Forest Park).  Castlewellan Forest Park also has beautiful walled gardens known as the Annesley Garden. It also has the world's second largest hedge maze known as the Peace Maze.

Game of Thrones park and ride studio is situated at the Boulevard retail park near Banbridge.  This is a 20 minute drive from Hillside Self Catering.

Newry city is less than 20 minutes.
