One minute walk to Glenariff Forest Park which is a designated National Nature Reserve which contains impressive waterfalls. Red squirrels can be see in the forest park. The diversity of topography, woodland and wildlife habitats formed here provide visitors with superb natural beauty, tranquility and panoramic views of the Irish Sea and Scottish Coasts. These can be experienced by walking one of the many waymarked trails in the forest. At the bottom of Glenariffe lies the golden one mile curve of Waterfoot Beach (3 miles), one of the best sandy beaches in the Glens. The beach offers car parking, picnic area and a children's play park. Laragh Lodge licensed restaurant is only a one minute walk away. Hazelwood is the ideal location for hill walking and for touring the Glens of Antrim and Giant's Causeway and situated on the Causeway Coastal Route.
