Ardtara Country House

About

Northern Ireland AA Guest Accommodation of the Year 2017, Ardtara Country House is nestled in ten wooded acres in the heart of Mid Ulster. The nineteenth century country house has been lovingly restored to provide guests with an authentic experience.

Awarded Best Customer Service in Co Londonderry 2017 by the Restaurants Association of Ireland, customer excellence is at the forefront of the dedicated team who welcome guests with an intimate personal service whether they are stopping by for coffee on route along the main road from the country's capital city of Belfast to the capital of the north west Derry~Londonderry, whether they are celebrating an occasion with an indulgent afternoon tea or whether they are enjoying fine dining before staying overnight in one of the nine uniquely decorated bedrooms.

Committed to growing and sourcing local produce, Ardtara's fine dining menu has been created by one of Northern Ireland's best known chefs, Chef Patron Ian Orr. Ian was instrumental in developing Tourism Northern Ireland's new signature dish for 2017 and frequently appears on local and national television showcasing his culinary skills. He was named Chef of the Year in 2013 and won Best Chef in Northern Ireland seven times.

Ardtara offers an exclusive setting for confidential business meetings, a unique venue for a dream wedding and welcomes families for Sunday lunch. It is the perfect retreat for escaping the pressures of modern living.
