The Sluicekeeper's Cottage Visitor Centre EHOD 2025

About

The summit level Sluicekeeper's Cottage Visitor Centre is located along the Newry Canal Towpath at Lough Shark ( Acton Lake ) approximately one mile north of Poyntzpasss. It is operated by IWAI Newry Portadown Canal Branch volunteers at weekends during the summer months as a heritage centre but also a local hub for people to stop and take a break. Call in and learn about the history of the canal and the exhibits on display and see what our volunteers do to preserve and promote this historic canal. While you're here take some time to admire the wonderful scenery and wildlife with a cup of tea!
