About

As The Open Championship returns to Portrush, the town will come alive with an exciting programme of free family-friendly events to celebrate all things golf – and more!

From Wednesday 16th to Sunday 20th July, Our Town is Open will transform Kerr Street Green into a buzzing hub of activity, entertainment and local pride.

Visitors can enjoy live music performances from a fantastic line-up of artists each day, alongside interactive experiences for all ages.

Budding golfers can test their skills with fun and inclusive golf games, while the curious can explore an engaging 'Golf in Portrush' exhibition that traces the town’s rich golfing heritage, created in partnership with Council’s Museum Services and Portrush Heritage Group.

On Friday 18th July, BBC Radio Ulster will be broadcasting live from Portrush throughout the day – join presenters Vinny & Cate, Connor Phillips and Hugo Duncan, with special musical guests bringing even more energy to the town.

The day will end with a spectacular Aeronautic Pyrotechnic Display over the stunning Portrush coastline at 9:15pm – a must-see moment of celebration during one of the most exciting weeks of the year.

Whether you’re here for The Open or soaking up the summer vibes by the sea, Our Town is Open invites you to join the festivities in Portrush – everyone’s welcome.
