About

Take a Museum Moment at the Ulster Museum! These 20-minute talks explore a range of fascinating topics and objects from our collection. With different speakers, experts and curators leading each talk, you'll hear a variety of engaging, informative, and thought-provoking conversations, all set in various locations around the museum.

The next Museum Moment 'The Master of Glass: Dale Chihuly' will take place during August Craft Month on Thursday 21st August from 13:00 to 13:20. Join Senior Curator of Art Kim MaWhinney to learn about the Ulster Museum acquisition of the beautiful Azure Ice Crystal wall sconce and its links to Irish glassmaking. Meet under the Dale Chihuly sculpture in the Welcome Zone.

What to know:
These talks are free and open to all with no reservation needed. Talks are offered on multiple dates, so there's always an opportunity to discover something new and be inspired. Space is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis. Please go to reception on arrival for more information on where the talk is taking place.
