Making it on Rathlin - Crafting an Island Experience

About

Join us for a unique Rathlin Island day experience including a wool workshop with Belfast School of Art textile researchers Alison Gault and Anna Duffy. Also included is a chance to tour the Boathouse Museum, the Breakwater Studio and Rathlin Cooperative and listen to an illustrated talk by photographer Johnny Mitchell at the West Lighthouse.

Rathlin In Focus – An illustrated talk by photographer, Johnny Mitchell. Johnny is a passionate wildlife photographer with a special love for capturing the raw beauty of nature on Rathlin Island. Join us to hear his story of the countless hours he spends in the wild, waiting for the perfect moment to capture the vibrancy and ruggedness of the island.
Johnny will share his collection of images, from soaring seabirds to the dark sky. For Johnny, photography isn’t just about taking pictures – it’s
about telling the untamed stories of the island he loves.

Arts and crafts on Rathlin have long formed part of the  traditional island culture. Building upon the necessity of self-sufficiency it makes the connection with our native flora and fauna found across the rugged landscape.

Don't miss this opportunity to immerse yourself in Rathlin Island's arts, craft, and natural beauty.
