About
Hillhall Presbyterian Church is one of the oldest congregations in Ireland, dating back to before the 1750's and with the current church building opened in 1902. The building is in the Arts and Crafts style, built under the supervision of eminent architect Vincent Craig and with many notable features, including the leaded and stained glass windows, stonework and clock tower.
Although we are undertaking a large restoration project to the exterior in 2025 we feel privileged to have such a stunning, historic building and we want others to enjoy it too. The church will therefore be open for self-guided tours on the European Heritage Open Days 2025. There is no need to book in advance, simply turn up and look around. The church is however much more than an empty building, its a part of the local community.
Our usual monthly Car Boot Sale will therefore also be taking place on Saturday 13th September and our weekly service of Worship will be held in the church at 11:00 on Sunday 14th September, so please feel free to join in these events as part of your visit.
