High Tea at Sea

About

High Tea at Sea is a guided boat tour of Strangford Lough followed by an artisan picnic. This experience offers you the opportunity to soak in the history and scenery of Strangford Lough finishing with a beautiful artisan picnic.

Andy from, Strangford Lough Boat Trips will take you on this guided speed boat trip through the drumlin islands of County Down. Beginning at the historic Sketrick Castle, you will hear the history behind the monuments, monasteries, islands, rocks and wrecks. From invaders to Vikings, smugglers to Kings, Strangford Lough has seen just about everything. Steeped in history, even locals will be amazed at some of the happenings over the centuries on Strangford, or Lough Cuan, as it was once better known. We'll help you understand the necklace of stone forts that surround the lough, explain some of the flora and fauna, the sea life and the wildlife. Enjoy the incredible scenery, seals and, if you're very lucky, the odd dolphin, whale or porpoise. The food for High Tea at Sea will be provided by The Old Post Office, Lisbane.
