About
Manus Deery Principal Conservation Architect in the DfC Historic Environment Division, will give a tour of this important historic site.
Built in 1841 as a self contained barracks for the city within its own defensive wall, it was extended to the south and east during the following 162 years. Handed to the NI Assembly in 2004 as part of the peace dividend, its heritage has since been utilised to create a vibrant new location in the city.
The 45 minute tour will consider the history of the site, how it has developed over time and what further development is planned for the future.
