Whiskey Golf

About

As The Open Championship draws the world's eyes to Northern Ireland, Belfast Whiskey Week invites visitors and locals alike to raise a glass and say: We're Open Ready. Running from 18–26 July 2025, these daily experiences are a perfect pairing of world-class golf and Ireland's finest whiskey culture.

The "We're Open Ready" programme offers a series of flexible, one-off whiskey events designed for those dipping in and out of the festival, or just looking to sample the spirit of Belfast. Whether you're in town for the golf, visiting friends, or want to soak up the summer buzz, these events are designed to be accessible, fun, and flavourful—no full-day pass required.

Expect everything from cheeky golf-themed tastings to immersive storytelling sessions, relaxed BBQ evenings, and even a day trip to Ireland's first whiskey hotel. These are whiskey events with a wink—playful, relaxed, and ready to welcome everyone, from connoisseurs to complete beginners.

Highlights include "Par 4: A Little Birdie", a fun, flavour-first whiskey tasting full of surprises; "WHISK(E)Y WARS", where dram meets drama in a battle of legendary blends; and "The 19th Hole", a late-night BBQ session complete with exclusive pours and good company. For those who want to swing into the whiskey world like a true Open fan, "To Play Golf…" brings together clubs, casks, and craic.

Best of all, these events are standalone—so whether you've got five days or just 45 minutes between rounds, you're welcome. Prices range from £15 to £60, making this the most approachable way to experience Belfast Whiskey Week.
