Build new memories with your family and enjoy a fun trip to Drumawhey Junction Railway, Ireland’s longest 7 1/4 inch railway, and experience the atmosphere of a full size traditional railway.

This is a miniature railway and operates steam, petrol hydraulic, diesel hydraulic and electric locomotives. The line is the longest 7 1/4” gauge railway in Ireland.

The layout allows a variety of routes. An interesting journey of around 12 minutes is provided dependent on the train and route followed.

Leave the station and ride around a scenic and varied track which crosses bridges, dives into tunnels and winds itself around mature grounds as it crosses itself, a level crossing and a stream with surprises around every corner. Watch out for the signal box engine sheds embankments and cuttings. It’s a great adventure for all ages.

The railway captures the atmosphere of a full sized railway. There is a station, signal cabin, engine and coach sheds, bridges, cuttings, tunnel and a level crossing. It's a great adventure.

The ticket office includes a small shop and picnic tables are available around the station building.

Facilities include; Ramped access to platform & toilets. Picnic tables available for passenger use. Free parking. There is a coach which will accommodate a wheelchair user and carer. Parties can be accommodated by special arrangement.
