Ulster Flying Club offer a service to the public where one can take air experience flights, flying lessons to PPL,NPPL, IMC and Night Ratings, to small JARFCL syllabus. Qualified Pilots can also hire an aircraft from a fleet of high quality aircraft, C-172's and C152's.
Microlight Flight Training and Helicopter Flight Training is also available at our Airfield.
We also operate a Pooley's flying shop on the premises with a mail order facility available.
3 new runways available to the flying visitor and Cloud 9 Restaurant serving excellent food until 5pm.
The airport is ideally situated to use as a base to explore the Mourne Mountains and the beautiful Antrim coastline from the air. Go even further and visit the Scottish Islands and even the West of Ireland. The Isle of Man is only 30 minutes flying time.
Trial flights: C172 4-seater plane, i.e. pilot plus 3 passengers: or C152 2-seat plane, i.e. pilot plus 1 passenger. Depending on the duration of the flight you could fly over the Ards Peninsula, The Mourne Mountains, Flights over the North Antrim Coast or somewhere of your own choice. Planes are Cessna C172's and C152's – all are fully maintained and of high quality with all models having just had new engines fitted. There are ramps for easy access to runways and also a disabled toilet facility.
