About

‘The Theatrical History Tour of Belfast,’ is a new, innovative walking tour that sees two actors, a male and a female, lead a one-hour walking tour from The Big Fish to The Soundyard.  During this one-hour tour, the actors will perform five historical sketches related to the history of Belfast.  This will include sketches about the following:

1912:  The Titanic

1914:  The Ulster Suffragettes

1941:  The Belfast Blitz

1995:  President Clinton’s visit to Belfast

2018:  Game of Thrones

After each sketch, as one actor gets changed into their next costume, the other actor will become a tour guide and relate further details about Belfast’s rich past.  This way, the one-hour tour will be completely seamless for those enjoying this theatrical spectacle along the Maritime Mile.

Real historical artefacts will also be used during the tour, allowing participants to see a real WW2 gas mask as well as a gas rattle and an ARP brodie helmet.
