Background:
Welcome to the studio of talented local artist Fiona Shannon for a fun and relaxing hands on craft experience. A native of the coastal town of Portstewart and a graduate of the Design and Crafts Council of Ireland , Fiona moved away to specialise in ceramics and pottery before returning home in 2016 to her beloved home town to set up her own studio.
Surrounded by the natural and raw beauty of the Causeway Coast, Fiona takes her inspiration from the wild Atlantic coastline using the colours of nature’s palette. Fiona shares her deep connection to her home and the stunning coastal landscape while demonstrating the art of pottery making on the wheel.
Don your apron and try your hand at throwing the wheel in a relaxed and fun environment. Guided by Fiona, mix your paints, embrace your inner creativity and paint your very own Causeway Coast inspired mug. Relax and feel all your stresses melt away as you focus on your masterpiece. Finish with some locally made refreshments, a wonderful sense of achievement and your very own memento of the Causeway Coast.
