  1. Ormeau Park During Autumn
Ormeau Park is the oldest municipal park in Belfast, officially opening to the public in 1871. It is still one of the largest parks in Belfast and offers a great mix of horticulture, woodland, flower displays and wildlife. Park features include eco trails and orienteering courses, horticultural displays, a children’s playground, seasonal bedding and specimen trees.
    1. Sir Thomas and Lady Dixon Park during the autumn months
The beautiful Sir Thomas and Lady Dixon Park comprises rolling meadows, woodland, riverside fields and formal gardens. The City of Belfast International Rose Garden has made the park world famous, and contains over 20,000 blooms in the summer. During the autumn months, the trees become the star of the show as they turn the park orange and yellow!
      1. Stormont Estate In The Autumn Time
Stormont Estate is a public park with beautiful gardens, walking and fitness trails and children’s play park. There are two woodland walks within the public area. The long woodland walk is 4km, and the short walk is 2km. The avenue leading up to Parliament Buildings is lined with 305 red-twigged lime trees which were first planted in the 1920s. During the autumn months, the lime trees drop their leaves to create beautiful orange carpets throughout the park, making this a prime spot for some picturesque walks.
        1. Belfast Botanic Gardens during Autumn
First established in 1828, the gardens have been enjoyed as a public park by the people of Belfast since 1895. There is an extensive rose garden and long herbaceous borders and the tree enthusiast can seek out the rare oaks planted in the 1880s, including the hornbeam-leafed oak. Situated near Queens University, the Botanic Gardens is an important part of Belfast’s Victorian heritage and a popular meeting place for residents, students and tourists. In autumn, the park turns a mellow orange as all the leaves begin to fall. It becomes the perfect backdrop to drink your pumpkin spiced latte.
          1. Belfast Castle Estate during Autumn
Built in the 1860s, the estate remains a perfect location for locals and tourists to explore the surrounding natural woodland, parkland and gardens. It’s also home to the Cave Hill Adventurous Playground, archaeological sites, a visitor information centre, eco trails and orienteering routes. The surrounding park contains both parkland and mature mixed woodland and is home to many different species of wildlife, including long-eared owls, sparrowhawks and Belfast’s rarest plant, the town hall clock.
