Local gentry who fought in the Crimean War used this spot as the Northern Counties Club. It gradually became a place for local businessmen and intellectuals to meet, eat and shoot some billiards. Among its famous visitors were Winston Churchill, W.B. Yeats and Bernard Montgomery. If you’re going down the self-catering route, then the Palace Street Apartments (5*) on the corner of Bishop Street and Palace Street are an excellent option. Until recently, this old redbrick townhouse was a clubhouse for members of the Royal Air Force. In 2017, the current owners bought and converted the rooms into the three luxury apartments that you see today. Each apartment has two bedrooms and two shower rooms. They are clean and spacious and above all, close to all local attractions and amenities.

Located just outside the walls of Derry-Londonderry, Art House is a stunning 9-bedroom period property located on a quiet residential street.
