Belfast International Airport (BFS) is around 1 hour 15 minutes from Dungannon or Omagh by car.
Belfast City Airport (BHD) is approximately 1 hour 30 minutes away.
City of Derry Airport (LDY) is also an option, around 1 hour 15 minutes from Omagh.
Each airport offers car hire, taxi services and onward coach connections into the county.
Translink’s Goldline and Ulsterbus services provide convenient and affordable travel to towns throughout Tyrone, including Omagh, Dungannon and Strabane.
From Belfast, services to Omagh or Dungannon take around 1 hour 30 minutes.
From Derry~Londonderry, travel time is just over an hour.
Cross-border services also connect via Bus Éireann and Expressway, making Tyrone accessible from Dublin and other parts of Ireland.
Driving is one of the easiest ways to explore Tyrone’s wide-open landscapes and scenic routes.

From Belfast – around 1 hour 15 minutes via the M1/A5.
From Dublin – around 3 hours via the M1/A5.
From Derry~Londonderry – about 1 hour 15 minutes via the A5.
Car hire is available at nearby airports, and there are plenty of parking options and electric vehicle charging points throughout the county.
County Tyrone is best explored at your own pace.
You’ll find local bus services linking towns and villages, but having a car offers the freedom to discover its natural beauty from forest parks and lakes to cultural landmarks and charming market towns.
Cycle routes and walking trails, including those around Gortin Glen Forest Park and the Sperrins, provide plenty of scenic ways to explore on foot or two wheels.
