Monty Halls is a man of many titles. Adventurer, marine biologist and travel writer are just a few. He’s also travelled all over the world - so it was about time he took a trip to Northern Ireland. Monty took a few weeks away from trotting the globe to explore Northern Ireland and the local characters who make our country so giant. Find out what Monty got up to on his great escape below.
Monty delves deep
Monty kicks off his trip to Northern Ireland by delving deep into our local history and heritage. From learning all about the ancient craft of hurl making at Scullion Hurls, driving through some of our breath-taking landscapes and signing the Peace Wall in Belfast on one of our famed Black Taxi Tours.
Monty tastes
Monty excites his senses with a trip to award-winning St George’s Market, where he samples the sights, sounds and smells that Northern Ireland is famous for. Next stop, a fishing trip with a difference, where he catches and cooks his own breakfast before paying a visit to one of our many distilleries where gin and whiskey are distilled on-site.
Monty goes wild
Monty escapes to Northern Ireland’s wild side with some seaside cliff and underground cave exploring. He goes deep into the heart of the country and ancient castle ruins, gallops through a forest park and star gazes from a lakeside dome in a forest. Monty can do it all.
