The Saddlers House

About

The Saddlers House is a tastefully restored mid-19th century town house situated in a conservation area in the heart of the historic city of Londonderry. It is the one of the most centrally located bed and breakfast establishments in Derry. We are within strolling distance of the city's walls, cathedrals, museums, theatres, fine restaurants and bars. Televisions and books are provided in all bedrooms. Freshly brewed coffee, homemade jams and homemade Irish wheaten bread, stewed fruits and homemade yogurt are served at breakfast. We were pleased to secure a Bronze Award at the 'Worlds Original Marmalade' 2015 Competition in which there were over 2000 entries. Guests are welcome to use the elegant Victorian sitting room or parlor with its ornate marble fireplace on the first floor. In a recent extension the dining room area at the rear of the house was extended and renovated to provide a bright, light-filled location for breakfast. There is a small, but delightful walled garden at the rear of the house, one of the few in this area to have survived from the Victorian era. All the bedrooms have free WiFi access and there is a PC available for guest use in the sitting room. The owners speak Spanish and pets are welcome at no additional cost. Free on-street car parking is available every day on the opposite side of Great James Street with no time restrictions, though parking spaces may be difficult to find during working hours. Free parking in front of the house is available from 5 pm in the evening to 10 am the next morning on work days and all day Sunday. As owners, we attempt to offer comfort, character, charm and convenience at reasonable rates to visitors to the city.
