About

Orchard View Bed and Breakfast is situated in an historic row of cottages that belonged to the Duke of Manchester's estate. The cottages were built in 1849 as linen weavers accommodation, hence the high pitched roofs to accommodate their looms.

Orchard View is situated in the village of Scarva, County Down. The village is noted for its seasonal floral displays and has won many awards in the Britain in Bloom national competitions. The village is surrounded by beautiful countryside. Scarva canal path offers 20 miles/ 32km of traffic free walking or cycling routes, through glorious undulating countryside. Bike hire is available locally in the village if required. Many of the buildings in the main street of the village are listed and the gardens and visitors centre are always popular.

Scarva village offers excellent transport and amenity links being only 5 miles /8km from Banbridge. Banbridge is noted for its excellent designer fashion shopping at The Boulevard, award winning eateries and two cinemas. Transport links are excellent with regular buses to Belfast, Dublin airport and Dublin City Centre. The nearby thriving city of Newry is only 12 miles /19km away. The historic Georgian city of Armagh with its famous museums, cathedrals and planetarium is only 14 miles /22km away.

Orchard View Bed and Breakfast offers an escape to the country. Guests can enjoy the 2 acre garden with views of the Mourne moutains. The garden has an orchard and soft fruit & vegetable growing area. Guests are able to enjoy home grown seasonal produce during their stay.
