About

Our Surf & Pilates Experience at Portstewart Strand is a unique combination of beach fitness and surfing, set on the scenic North Coast of Northern Ireland. 

Portstewart Strand is a National Trust beach known for its beauty and clean waters, making it ideal for both Pilates and surfing.

Surf & Pilates includes a 50 minute Pilates Class followed by a 2 hour Surf Lesson (this includes changing time) for Beginners or first time Surfers. 

The Pilates session will take place on the beach at Portstewart Strand if the weather is good to us, if not this will be run under the shelter of Harry's Shack stretch tent area. 

After pilates you'll walk bout 200m fto the surf zone. All equipment is provided with a small gazebo changing area for you to change into your wetsuits. Minimum age for event is 12 years old.

A ROXY Beanie in black is included for every participant in this event.

Pilates: 

Meeting Point - Meet for Pilates at 8:30 am at our SUB6 van located on the right hand side of the beach as you drive on. Check in and get a brief from your lovely Pilates instructor, Anna. This session focuses on core strength, flexibility, and balance—perfect preparation for surfing.

Times - Meet at 08:30 - Pilates starts 09:00 am and finishes 09:50 

Have a chat & chill

Surfing :

Check in with Carl / wetsuit allocation & changing 10:15

Surf Lesson starts on beach when everyone is changed around 10:45am

Surf Lesson finishes 12:15pm/  Finish after changing 12:30pm

What to bring :

Towel
Swimwear for under your wetsuit
Changing robe if you have one but not essential
Mat for Pilates but not essential these will be provided
Warm clothing for after

Please note the beach is National Trust and there is a charge to come onto the beach details below :

One off payment for a Car £8  (National Trust memebers -  Free parking)  

There is Free parking with limited space on the main road outside Portstewart Golf Club, you can then walk 2mins down to the beach.
