Crossgar Road, Saintfield, County Down, BT24 7LH
Rowallane Garden EHOD 2025

About

Located in the heart of Co Down, Rowallane is a peaceful and atmospheric landscaped estate of 56 acres, set amidst the rolling drumlin countryside. It is within an unlikely landscape that one of the great gardens of the British Isles was created under the influence of two remarkable gardeners and plantsmen – the Reverend John Moore and his nephew Hugh Armytage Moore.

Rowallane is situated about 25 minutes south of Belfast City Centre and is classed as one of the most significant Gardens in the National Trust’s portfolio. Explore the mix of formal and informal gardens in what is considered one of the National Trust's 'hidden gems'.
